The History of Ecoflow PLC

ECOFLOW® plc came about from an original idea conceived by Nigel and Paula Broderick.

The use of magnetic fields to improve the performance of combustion was reported during the 1940s. The US Air Force employed a device on its Mustang aircraft that proved very successful, and was subsequently used by the RAF on both the Spitfire and Hurricane, allowing improved range and performance from a limited supply of poor quality fuel.

Since the war, a myriad of ‘magnetic’ products have been launched, primarily aimed at the motorist, offering incredible reductions in their fuel costs if they merely fit this wonderful little gizmo to their fuel line.

In 1989, one such customer, Nigel Broderick (a motoring enthusiast and technical director of a Cornish company), fitted such a device to his own car, and was very disappointed in the results he obtained.

However, rather than throwing it away, Nigel took it apart and identified what he considered to be a fundamental flaw. Over the following months, he refined and developed a product with up to five times more power than the unit he had originally purchased and then patented it.

He was so confident in his product that in 1992, he took it to a truly independent body, namely the government’s own pollution laboratory at Warren Springs.

Over a 12,000 mile test on a petrol family car and a diesel lorry, the product was proven to reduce pollution, increase performance and improve fuel economy. Since then, the products have been tested by agencies in many countries throughout the world and all their results have mirrored those of Warren Springs.

Subsequent development for heating systems, (gas, oil & propane) produced yet another unique product, which led to an extensive year-long test by one of the largest independent energy consultancies in the UK.

This trial proved that even after the installation of a computerised building energy management system, significant savings were still achieved.

How Does it Work?

With reference to how the units actually work; the scientists don't agree.

What appears to be happening is that conditioning of the fuel leads to a better mixture. This, in turn, gives a more efficient combustion, which gives higher usable heat output and lower noxious waste emissions.

What we can definitely confirm is that many highly respected companies, with the facilities to measure accurately, are enjoying savings of between 5% and 30% on both heating and process operations.

Ecoflow Products for People

When reports of distributors feeling better after carrying Ecoflow products in their pockets started reaching Ecoflow, Nigel's curiosity was raised, and the BIOFLOW® was born.

This started as a simple wristband, but has now developed into a full range of products covering both human and animal applications.

When the success of the Bioflow was acknowledged, Czech Veterinary Surgeon, Dr Vladislav Vaclavek worked with Ecoflow to produce the NUTRIFLOW® range.

Dr Vaclavek's work is currently being considered by the Nobel Department at the Royal Swedish Academy of Science.

Numerous people now take Nutriflow daily, and the product continues to gather more and more praise for the way in which it helps people’s healthy lifestyles.

One of the most recent additions to the range is a Healthcare product developed to help combat the potential harmful effects of mobile & cordless phones.

Called the BIOPHONE, this product was only introduced into the UK after a thorough 18-month scientific study was conducted.

In every category measured, there was either a reduction in health problems or an improvement in functional status when using the device.
